Biography
José is a Forest Engineer from the University of Chile. His undergraduate research involved comparing southern beech wood with fossil records. He then worked with Lenga bush management at Tierra del Fuego Island. His work interests in sustainability and education led him to coordinate organic recycling programs and workshops for elementary students. For the last seven years, he has worked as a consultant ecologist, collecting vegetation information and analyzing data throughout the Chilean territory, working in diverse landscapes with extreme weather conditions. Simultaneously, he collaborated on a conservation study about human-raptor conflict management. In 2022 he began working with Round River in Patagonia.
