Round River’s student programs are open to students who possess a keen interest in participating in a field conservation effort. Within each research program, Round River has openings for five to ten student researcher assistants. These small crews ensure the high quality of instruction and research, and limit our own footprint on the environment.

Applicants should be currently enrolled in good standing in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college/university, or have successfully completed an undergraduate degree. Students entering their Gap Year are also encouraged to apply. Applications are reviewed and accepted individually on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Students are required to submit the following to Round River to be considered for our programs:

  • An application form, either online or by mail
  • One official college transcript
  • The $50 application fee

Please note that:

Interested students are encouraged to apply early due to limited space

    We recommend that you:

  • Apply by February 15th for Summer programs
  • Apply by May 15th for Fall Programs
  • Apply by October 15th for Spring programs
  • Apply by October 1st for January Term programs
  • Depending on space availability, applications may be accepted after the above mentioned dates.

Please remember that your university may have their own earlier deadlines for applying to study abroad. Check with your study abroad office for for information.
